STORM PROMPT - WIR
Fifteen-Year-Old
“Wow! Did you see that lightning? Wicked just wicked.” Before Josh could answer his mate’s exclamation another multi branched fork of light lit up the sky. Dark clouds boiled in the distance dispensing heavy rain underneath them, but the downpour had not yet reached Ethan’s house.
They watched more light displays from Ethan’s bedroom window and then counted waiting for the inevitable boom of thunder. Their tension matching the electrical atmosphere outside. When they got to a count of twenty-one, they turned to one another. Ethan smiled and gave his friend a playful punch on the arm.
