The Walking Sticks

Walking sticks prompt - Jan. 23, 2021


For those who don’t know the legend of the walking sticks, I’m going to tell you the story. It all took place in a small Alberta town four hundred years ago. Back then most men carried a walking stick as part of their wardrobe and so it was a lucrative business for those who made a living crafting the special canes. William Deckler was one such carver, however carving basic shapes out bamboo and the other usual materials bored him and so, one day, he decided to get more creative with his designs.
