April 12th – When Life Gives You Lemons
Ever have one of those days
When things just didn’t go right?
You wiled the hours away
Then had to stay up most of the night?
Ever get lost in the crowd
Not knowing which way to go?
Quiet when you should have been loud
Giving in when you should have said no.
Sometimes on the losing team
Sometimes ahead of the pack
No rhyme or reason it seems
Just keep going without looking back.
Gave up your seat on the bus –
Chased by a goose on the loose?
Wanted limes but no matter the fuss
When life gives you lemons make juice!

DAY 12- WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS
When life gives you lemons
Slice them thin
Raise your chin
Find a grin
When life gives you lemons
Spread them out
Don’t just pout
Share your doubt
When life gives you lemons
Squeeze the seeds
Heal your needs
Do good deeds
When life gives you lemons
Grate the zest
Boost the test
Climb a crest
When life gives you lemons
Peel the rind
Loose the bind
Free your mind
When life gives you lemons
Shine them bright
Tamp the blight
Flip the fight
When life gives you lemons
Sip the juice
Call a truce
You can choose

When Life Gives You Lemons…
Lemon:
Lost your job?
You’ll find another one
No time to sob,
Make time for a hobby; have some fun.
Make lemonade, son
Lemon:
Going through a bad break-up?
Get out of bed and take your keys,
You need to live it up.
Plenty of fish in the sea.
Make lemonade, son
Lemon:
Car breaks down on vacation?
That’s not the time to fret,
Save that for another occasion.
You’re there for adventure, I bet.
Make lemonade, son
Lemon:
World not what you expected?
Life not as you planned?
No one has it perfected.
And don’t worry, you can withstand.
Just make lemonade, son
