Only Yesterday
YEG to HKNG flight
almost died in Bombay (now Mumbai)
espresso in Strasbourg
train ride to Basel
Baden-Baden baths and bars
Golden Gate a bit rusty
deserted beach in Boracay
churros in Disneyland
Bangkok tuk tuk
sun setting in Huntington
and today
W F H
AHHHHHH
as if
I wish
I hope
It was Only Yesterday!
April 1st – Only Yesterday
Only yesterday, I felt the strength to go on
Oblivious to what life would bring
Sweet harmony of living – a sad, sad song
Melody alone – unwilling to sing
But just like nature we evolve and grow
Survival – and, too, we learn
Keep moving forward accepting what we know
Only looking back when heartaches burn
Stay the course – a good reminder for our heart
Life’s a privilege – a plan in play
Honor those whose time has come to part
Long ago now, but feeling like only yesterday.

Handshakes and hugs Friends nearby
Memories like gold
